ASA Mission
Austin Sports Academy trains athletes to excel in their chosen sport. We provide top-level coaches in multiple sports from the surrounding area.
Players just need to be willing to work hard and commit themselves while taking their game to the next level.
We thrive on building a player’s technical foundation and applying those skills into an appropriate competitive environment. Most of our players have made a long-term commitment to become the best player they can, knowing that it involves hard work and dedication to reach their full potential.
What people are saying about Austin Sports Academy...
"When we looked for a partner in the Austin community that knew how to motivate kids, keep them engaged, and teach them soccer skills, it was natural to turn to Austin Sports Academy. Brad and Ben have been in Austin most of their lives and know the importance of giving kids a healthy outlet for physical activity. Austin Sports Academy did an excellent job with our Oak Springs Elementary School Saturday soccer project and we look forward to partnering with them again in the future on other soccer and athletic endeavors." - Mayor of Austin, Lee Leffingwell, on a soccer event at Oak Springs Elementary put on by ASA
"Today is signing day for my daughter. In about 30 minutes, she will sign a national letter of intent to play soccer at Vanderbilt University. It's been a 10 year journey for us. We are so thankful for all of the coaches we have had over the years and are especially blessed that David Winner was a big part of that journey. Today would not be the same without him. We are all very lucky to have a coach and mentor like David in our community. On this very momentous day for us, I want to publicly thank David for all of the time and energy spent with my daughter." - Parent of player trained by David Winner, coach at Austin Sports Academy
"I have trained at ASA since I was 12. Ben & Brad’s tutelage and coaching challenged me, refined my skills, improved my conditioning and helped me to grow into the player I am today. After completing my first semester at Emory University, I ended the season as a starting center back and received the UAA Conference Rookie of the Year award. Thank you Ben and Brad for always believing in me and always pushing me to the next level." - Hannah Meyer, athlete & player trained at Austin Sports Academy
"My daughter Isabella has been training with ASA Coach Danno for about 6 months. She came in lacking some confidence and some skills. Today she has been selected to play for one of the top select teams in her division. We are so grateful to Brad for connecting us with Danno! We are very thankful and feel very lucky that all the hard work she has put in with her coach has paid off! Thank you for pushing her when there was nothing left, Coach Danno you’re the man!" - Parents of Austin Sports Academy training, Robert & Liza Fuentes
"We are so grateful that our son gets to hang out with Bobby and the rest of the ASA team after school. Bobby is SO incredibly nurturing and positive with those kiddos. Every time I see him skillfully working out some conflict or some hurt feelings, he does it with patience and mindfulness, and it reassures me that Jules is in very good hands with him. The ASA team does a fantastic job of providing a fun, active afternoon with enough structure so that all kids feel encouraged and safe." - Parent of ASA After School Program, Sharon Laidlaw-Almaguer
"Our daughter is living her dream by playing soccer at the collegiate level. She will tell you; she is not the fastest or is the best player on the pitch but she will work harder than anyone to be the best she can be and to be the best teammate. Brad, Ben and all the coaches at Austin Sports Academy have taken her passion for the game and challenged her to push herself and were always there when she fell. Our daughter was named freshmen co-captain of her college team and we know this is a result of her training at Austin Sports Academy."
"Brad knows that not all kids will play collegiate sports but he understands the importance of fitness in children's lives and makes it fun for players at all levels." - Parents of Austin Sports Academy training, Susan & Mike Meyer
"THANK YOU so so so very much for helping us host the 5th Birthday Party at ASA on Saturday. We all had an amazing time and our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about Coach Matt and our official Photographer and Event Planner Extraordinaire - Michelle!!! Most importantly, Zuben had a ball!!!! From the early planning conversations to the morning set up and event in action - everything went extremely well. It was the first time that I could actually enjoy my son's birthday and play with his friends and him. THANK YOU for making this memory one that I will truly cherish. I oh so hope we can come again for a future event! I would love to pass my message on to Brad to let him know what an incredible team he has so please let me know the best way to do this." - Parent of Austin Sports Academy birthday event, Ramona
"Last summer my son begged us to play soccer in a club or a camp but our budget was tight and he was stuck at home all summer. Every recess at school, this boy plays soccer. This past spring, he begged again to play soccer in a camp. We found ASA and y'all! He loves every minute! Thank you for encouraging him and teaching him Thank you for keeping him safe and keeping soccer fun! Y'all are the BEST!" - Parents of Austin Sports Academy Summer Camp participant, The Ayrault Family
