SOCCER SPEED & AGILITY
Powered by Sport Speed Austin
Austin Sports Academy has partnered with Sport Speed Austin to add speed training that will bring out your player's potential first-step quickness, top end speed, strength, power, and injury resistance in any sport they play.
Why?
For a long time, conventional wisdom suggested that becoming a better soccer, volleyball or lacrosse player, was accomplished simply by playing and practicing more soccer, volleyball or lacrosse. It has become clear that the top players of any sport are proficient not only in ball skills and game strategy, but are also fast, quick and strong enough to be difference-makers on the pitch or the court.
Benefits
The Sport Speed training program improves:
- Core Strength
- Linear and Lateral Speed
- Field or Court Vision
- Lower Body Power
- First Step Quickness
- Jumping and Landing Mechanics
- Upper Body Strength
- Resistance to Injury
- Mental Toughness
Basic concepts, drills and games that reinforce these basics are taught in an age-appropriate manner, and Sport Speed coaches are skilled in challenging athletes of different ages and abilities within a group training session.
